Screech Owl and Shrew

"Shrewd Move"

Screech Owls do not "screech". Ray always wondered why it was given that name. Actually the voice is more of a soft, descending "whinny". He first heard it called the "shivering owl" as a boy in West Virginia. The little owl, only 10" tall when mature, is hatched either gray or reddish in color.

See the little shrew on the stump? Hence the title "Shrewd Move".
